Our Mission to Restore Ecosystem

The Ecosystem Restoration Integrated Program is a six-year, US$ 200 million initiative funded by the Global Environment Facility and led by Conservation International. The program aims to restore critical ecosystems and support local communities that depend on them. The program aligns with the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration and supports global restoration commitments through policy, finance, capacity building and international cooperation.  The program includes 20 countries across Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Non Government
Partners

The Ecosystem Restoration Integrated Program (ERIP) works closely with a network of non-governmental organizations to support restoration efforts across 20 countries. These partnerships focus on developing training programs, building technical and institutional capacity, and creating tools that help countries design and implement effective restoration strategies. ERIP collaborates with the World Resources Institute (WRI), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Alliance for Restoration of Natural Resources (ANR Alliance), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and the Conservation Strategy Fund.

Our Team
Global Coordination
Project (GCP)

The ERIP is coordinated through the Global Coordination Project (GCP), led by Conservation International, that provides a strategic hub for advancing the program's goals, supports a coherent and innovative process, knowledge management and exchange, programmatic coordination, stakeholder engagement and inclusive governance.

The GCP plays a crucial role in supporting the Ecosystem Restoration Integrated Program by equipping Child Projects with the necessary tools and information to advocate for coherent policy, mobilize financing, and promote innovative restoration alternatives and benefits.
